Where- Determined to leave the islands for college, I chose the University of Oregon for its connection to Hawai’i, nature, and its electric sports atmosphere. I basically lived at Autzen Stadium and the School of Journalism and Communication’s Allen Hall.

Who- Type A(lexa). I’m all about planning: scheduling, delegating tasks, and fostering a communicative environment. I’m the glue that holds the people (and the project) together.

Why- My nature is opinionated and passionate. Nurtured by my 13 years as a Girl Scout, I sought out challenges and lead my troop through them. As a lifelong athlete, I wasn’t always the best player, but I made sure I was the best teammate possible.
